In module one, we will get an overview of the requirements and common tasks of a School Administrator, as well as explore the key communication skills needed for this role.

In module two, we take an in-depth look at the different types of schools in the UK and their key characteristics, including state schools, private schools and faith schools.

In module three, we will learn about the different ways in which we can develop the school’s curriculum and enhance students’ learning. It also covers tips and strategies for handling complaints.

In module four, we will take a comprehensive look at the role of school staff in safeguarding children, as well as the different ways of communicating with children and responding to them. It covers best practices every teaching professional should know.

In module five, we will deepen our understanding of the different areas of child development, as well as explore key topics such as child care legislation, flexibility, eligibility, and quality. 

In module six, we will explore best practices for managing a school’s premises. It covers procedures for maintaining outdoor space, lighting maintenance, health, safety and welfare, toilet and washing facilities, and much more.

In module seven, we will learn how to implement a health and safety management system in schools, exploring fundamental topics such as legal responsibilities, documentation, and risk management.

In module eight, we will familiarise with the risk assessment process, from identifying hazards to evaluating risks and recording findings. It also includes important information on who can carry out risk assessments and explores some common risks in the workplace.

In module nine, we will learn about the main points of RIDDOR and the types of reportable injuries, covering recording requirements, first aid at work requirements, and work-related diseases.

In module ten, we will learn about electrical maintenance and how to identify and prevent electrical hazards, covering PAT testing, general fire safety measurements, gas safety and other key topics.
