In module one, we will explore the role of a first aider and safety practices in the workplace. We will also familiarise with first aid equipment and the process for recording a first aid incident. 

In module two, we will learn about key legislation such as The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. We will also deepen our understanding of RIDDOR regulations and the duties of the employer.

In module three, we will gain an in-depth understanding of emergency first aid procedures at work, including the dos and don’ts of handling first aid emergencies. It covers fire, electrical and water emergencies in detail, with step-by-step practical training.

In module four, we will explore the cost of poor health and safety practices/measures in the workplace, taking an in-depth look at health and safety law, legislation, penalties and enforcement. 

In module five, we will take a look at the core elements of health and safety management, covering key topics such as safety checks, health and safety management systems, competence, and documentation. 

In this module, we’ll learn about definitions of most well known terms, 5 steps to risk assessment, the criteria to perform the assessment and most common risks at work.

In module seven, we will explore various topics related to workplace safety and wellnesses, such as strategies for dealing with work-related stress, violence in the workplace, drug and alcohol dependency, and work fatigue.

In module eight, we will gain extensive knowledge of work-related diseases, accidents and injuries, with important information on the types of reportable injuries, recording requirements, and first aid requirements.

In module nine, we will receive training in the basics of electrical maintenance, fire safety and gas safety. It covers key topics such as COSHH regulations, how to identify electrical hazards, PAT testing, and working with hazardous substances.

In module ten, we will explore safety best practices for high-risk working environments, taking a look at safety procedures for working at height, working in confined spaces, manual handling, and driving at work.

In module eleven, we will learn about the different types of personal protection equipment (PPE), as well as general requirements for work equipment. It covers machinery hazards, emergeny equipment and the correct use of hand-held tools.

In module twelve, we will explore the different measures that can taken to avoid slips and trips, falls and acidents in the workplace. It includes practical information on how to reduce noise pollution, radiaion safety guidelines, and how to minimise whole body vibration.

In module thirteen, we will learn how to conduct a primary survey and why it is important. It also includes practical training on how to place a casualty in the recovery position and file an accient report.

In module thirteen, we will learn the definition and purpose of a seondary survey, covering the steps to conducting a secondary survey, as well as training in how to conduct a full head to toe examination on a casualty. 

In module fifteen, we will familiarise with the contents of the first aid kit and some basic first aid techniques. It includes step-by-step training on how to dress wounds, brandage a sprain, conduct CPR and use an AED.

In module sixteen, we will explore some common minor injuries  that can occur in the workplace, with best practice guidelines on how to treat burns and scalds, what to do when someone is experiencing an allergic reaction, and other key topics.

In module seventeen, we will learn what to do in the case of an unresponsive and breathing casualty, as well as an unresponsive and not breathing casualty, with step-by-step training for infants, children an adults. 

In module eighteen, we will explore a range of common secondary illnesses, gaining an in-depth understanding of breathing problems such as asthma attacks, choking, drowning and hyperventilation.

In module nineteen, we will broaden our understanding of some secondary illnesses and injuries, such as bleeding, diabetes, poisoining, and shock, with guidance on best practice procedures.

In module twenty, we will learn what to do in the event of a first aid emergency, including information on the different types of emergency services and guidance on when to call emergency services.
