From isolation during quarantine to fear of illness and loss, the mental health impact has been significant across all age groups. This course introduces Psychological First Aid (PFA) as a supportive approach to helping individuals cope with stress and emotional strain during and after the pandemic.
Designed for learners interested in mental health support, caregiving, community assistance, and wellbeing services, this course explores the psychological effects of COVID-19 on children, young people, adults, and older populations. It also introduces coping strategies, remote support methods, and internationally recognised guidance used to provide emotional stability in crisis situations across healthcare and community settings in Canada.
