Understanding how the human body works is essential for careers in health, medicine, and biological science. The Advanced Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology Level 7 provides a deep understanding of how cells, tissues, organs, and systems interact to sustain life. Learners will explore advanced topics such as metabolism, the nervous and immune systems, and human reproduction, gaining both theoretical and practical insights into human biology.
In the UK, professionals with advanced anatomy and physiology knowledge—such as medical laboratory scientists or anatomy instructors—earn an average of £21–£25 per hour, which is approximately £40,000–£52,000 per year.
This comprehensive course begins with the Chemistry of Cells, examining how molecular structures form the foundation of life. Modules on Cells, Cell Division, and Replication and Metabolism explore biological processes at the microscopic level. Learners then progress to Human Tissues and Skin, followed by an in-depth study of the Skeletal and Muscular Systems, including Skeletal Muscle Fibre.
The course then focuses on the Nervous System—covering the Brain, Spinal Cord, Autonomic Nervous System, Cranial Nerves, and sensory organs such as the Eyes and Ears. Additional modules cover Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary, and Reproductive Systems. The Lymphatic and Immune Systems are also included, giving a full picture of how the body maintains health and balance.
